Hideyoshi also knew that the Jesuits deceived and kidnapped as many as 500,000 baptized Japanese (especially beautiful girls) to sell them in Europe and Latin America after 1543 when the Portuguese first introduced the European firearms to Japan. Later, the Christian boys' group called "the Tensho Ken-o Shonen-shisetsu" (1582-1590) and Tsunenaga Hasekura's group were greatly shocked and disappointed to see Japanese slaves (especially half-naked beautiful Japanese girls in chains) in ships and other occasions on the way to Europe and Latin America. Of course, such an inhumane thing was impossible without some Christian Japanese lords' influence, especially in Kyushu where many Japanese Buddhist monks and Shinto priests were cruelly murdered in the name of Christianity and numerous Christian churches were built in the sites of demolished Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines. The most powerful Christian lord was Sorin Otomo who "traded" in medicines, pepper, gunpowder, slaves etc. with Xavier, Luis de Almeida (1525-1583) and other Jesuits, which had made a huge amount of money for Portugal and the Roman Catholic Church for years. Almeida was also known as the person who built the first Western-style hospital in Bungo-funai (豊後府?; now Oita City) and started medical training for Japanese in Oita in 1558.
As "the Tensho Ken-o Shonen-shisetsu"' report tells:
"Everywhere we go, so many Japanese women can be seen. They say that the total number of Japanese slavery women in Europe is as many as about 500,000. We cannot bear to look at the fact that fair-complexioned, beautiful Japanese girls are in chains, exposing their sexual organs, falling preys to men's lust, and finally to be resold to another proslavery country. Of course we have long felt massive anger against the White people who set leg irons to our fellow country people to sell them to such far countries. They also belong to the same European cultural group. Why do they enslave women from our country? Fathers of Portuguese churches exchange Japanese women with saltpeter and gunpowder in India and Africa." (Excerpted and Translated from Hideaki Onizuka's Japanese Emperor's Rosary, vol. 포루투갈인이 처음으로 유럽식 조총을 일본에게 전해준 1543년 이후 히데요시
또한 예수회에 속았고 50만명에 달하는 세례를 받은 일본인(특히 예쁜 여자)를
유럽과 라틴아메리카에 팔기위해 납치했다는 사실을 알았다.
그 후, "Tensho Ken-o Shonen-shisetsu"(1582-1590)이라 불리는 크리스챤 남자
그룹과 Tsunenaga Hasekura의 그룹들은 유럽과 라틴 아메리카로 향하는 몇 몇
배에서 일본인 노예(특히 반쯤 벗어서 체인에 묶인 예쁜 일본 여자)를 봤을 때
매우 충격적이었고 실망스러웠다.
물론 이러한 무자비한 행동은 몇 몇의 크리스챤 일본인 영주의 영향력이 없이는
불가능한일이었다. 특히 많은 일본인 불교 승려들과 Shinto(일본 종교중 하나인듯.)
신도들이 불교 사원과 Shinto 사원을 헐어낸 곳에 다수의 기독교 교회를 짓기
위한 명목으로 잔인하게 살해를 당했다. Xavier과 Luis de Almeida (1525-1583)
그리고 다른 기독교인 들과 함께 약, 종이,화약, 노예등을 "거래"하던 가장 강력한
크리스챤 영주인 Sorin Otomo는 몇 년 동안 포르투갈과 로마 카톨릭 교회로 부터
많은 돈을 벌었다. Almeida는 또한 Bungo-funai (지금 Oita City)에 처음으로
서양식 병원을 건설하고 1558년에 Oita에서 일본인을 상대로 의료 훈련을

그들은 또한 같은 유럽 문화 그룹에 속해있었다.
그들은 왜 우리나라의 여자들을 노예로 만드는 것인가?
포르투갈 기독교의 대부는 인도와 아프리카에서 나오는
초석과 화약을 일본 여성과 교환했다."
